The unmistakable dark-roast soul of the Neapolitan bar.
A family rooted in Napoli
The unmistakable dark-roast soul of the Neapolitan bar.
In every Neapolitan bar, coffee is a sacred ritual — a thick, hazelnut-crema espresso drunk standing at the counter. Kimbo has been roasting that ritual since 1963, blending selected Arabica and Robusta beans to produce the dense, dark roast that defines the city's coffee.
Luigi keeps a stovetop moka pot constantly on the brew in our Dormansland cellar. It is the unmistakable taste of a Neapolitan morning — dark chocolate, toasted brioche and a lingering cocoa finish.
Caffè Kimbo is one of the independent estates Luigi & Jo Di Caprio visit each harvest, tasting from barrel to bottle before a single case ships to our Surrey bonded cellar.
The soil that shapes the wine
Kimbo's dark roast is a Neapolitan craft, not a terroir — the beans are blended from chosen origins and slow-roasted in drum roasters until they yield the dense, hazelnut crema and bittersweet cocoa that only a true Neapolitan roast can produce.

The Kimbo roastery
The crema is everything. We roast dark and slow so the cup pours thick — the way a Neapolitan expects, standing at the bar at breakfast.
